This combination of a Vinyasa (Yang) and Yin postures will restore the natural mobility of the joints, allowing muscles to engage and then release opening the body's meridian system, enhancing energetic flow and supporting emotional equilibrium.
The Yin poses are similar to Vinyasa poses except with different names and held longer to help to shift the mind from Yang (active) to Yin (passive). As the Yin sequence progresses, stillness and silence will be emphasized preparing both the body and the mind for meditation.
This practice will benefit students who would like exposure to the advantages of both an active Vinyasa flow merging to a passive, meditative Yin practice.
