Julie Lear, e-RYT

The seeds of yoga were planted early, but it wasn’t until the birth of her son and the tragedy of 9/11 happened concurrently that Julie began a steady practice. Yoga helped calm and support a super-stressed body and mind and offered inner steadiness and peace in an unsteady world. Yoga’s grounding and clarity continue to guide her more than 20 years later.

Julie’s classes weave together yoga philosophy with modern somatic insight and practical alignment. She blends strong, intentional movement with breath-led mindfulness, creating a moving meditation that invites students into deeper self-awareness — on and off the mat. Expect a thoughtful balance of strength, stillness, and spaciousness for personal discovery and embodiment.

Julie received her 200 hr. training in vinyasa yoga with Tricia Philpott. Other trainings include Therapeutic Yoga, Yin Yoga, ParaYoga Nidra, Mindfulness, and an Ashtanga yoga intensive. Julie is currently working on a two-yearlong meditation training.

Beyond the studio, Julie is a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW), certified life coach, and former marketing consultant. Her work is deeply informed by both Yoga and Buddhist philosophies. You can connect @essenceintegrativewellness or essenceintegrativewellness.com.
